The X232 Developer System is the logical evolution of the X231—with a key upgrade: instead of two 1 GbE ports, the X232 provides two native 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports (RTL8127, RJ45). This makes the board suitable for applications where Gigabit Ethernet becomes a bottleneck, such as high-resolution multi-camera streams, real-time data transfer to storage arrays, coupling multiple Jetson systems via PCIe x8, or connecting to 10G industrial networks.

Like the X231, the X232 features two PCIe x8 FPC expansion interfaces for expansion modules—turning the system into a scalable platform for NVMe storage arrays or advanced camera setups. The hardware crypto chip (ATSHA204A) secures OEM deployments. MCU and auto-flashing enable remote provisioning and field maintenance.

The X232 is pin- and interface-compatible with the X231, enabling straightforward upgrades in existing projects. With the AGX Orin 64GB (200 TOPS), a pre-flashed 128 GB NVMe SSD (JetPack 6.x), and active cooling, the system is ready for immediate development use.
