Description
The X242 is the carrier board for NVIDIA Jetson T5000 (Thor), providing the hardware foundation for the most compute-intensive edge AI workloads. The PCIe x8 Gen 5 connector with up to 32 Gbit/s per lane enables high-performance expansion cards and multi-system architectures. Up to four displays can be operated simultaneously – via HDMI and three USB-C connectors with DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The network configuration is comprehensive: two RTL8127 chips deliver 10-Gigabit Ethernet each over standard RJ45, complemented by integrated WLAN (2.4/5 GHz, LM843) and an M.2 Key B slot for a 5G modem. The 16-lane CSI-2 connector (P3762-compatible) covers demanding camera applications. Industrial continuous operation is ensured by overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection, a hot-swap controller, and the ATECC204A crypto chip for hardware-based security. MCU, auto-flashing, RTC, and a dedicated debug port complete the feature set. Power input is via a pluggable locking terminal (24V DC, PSU rated for 300W), with optional 48V operation available.
