X230D-AI – AGX ORIN

Description

The X230D-AI is an industrial-grade carrier board for NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin (Config 2) supporting power modes from 15W to 60W. The two CSI-2 interfaces (4 lanes each, 22-pin) support a wide range of camera sensors – including Raspberry Pi camera modules, ArduCam, Vision Components, Framos, Basler, Allied Vision, and FPD-Link III sensors – making it the first choice for industrial image processing and inspection applications.

For flexible system expansion, two FPC-based PCIe connectors are available: PCIe x1 (22-pin, J37) and PCIe x4 (40-pin, J20) – ideal for GbE or 10GbE adapters and other PCIe expansion cards. An M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe slot (PCIe x4) provides fast local storage. Network connectivity is delivered by two Gigabit Ethernet ports (RTL8111), complemented by HDMI, 2× USB 3.1 Type-A, and USB 2.0 (Micro, OTG). CAN with integrated transceiver as well as an RX/TX line pair, 2× I2C, and UART enable direct connection of sensors and controllers.

The ATSH204A crypto chip protects software investments through hardware-based key storage. MCU and auto-flashing simplify board management and commissioning. The 12–19V operating voltage and flat bottom side (standard: top-side populated only) facilitate integration into compact enclosures. Overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and a 200mF RTC supercapacitor ensure reliable continuous operation.
