X232 – AGX ORIN

Description

The X232 was developed for industrial series deployment. As a carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin module, it offers an exceptional combination of connectivity, expandability, and protection features in a compact footprint (104.6 mm × 125 mm).

The core of the network connectivity is formed by two RTL8127 chips, each providing 10-Gigabit Ethernet over standard RJ45 — connected via PCIe x1 Gen4 and significantly more efficient than conventional 10G solutions. The dual PCIe x8 connector allows multiple Jetson Orin modules to be directly coupled, or connected to an expansion board that provides four additional M.2 Key M slots and four OCuLink connectors. For multi-camera applications, the dedicated CSI-2 expansion connector exposes all 16 MIPI lanes.

The power supply covers a wide range from 24 V to 48 V at up to 50 W system power. An onboard MCU, auto-flashing, a dedicated debug port, and the ATECC204A crypto chip for hardware-based key storage and license protection round out the feature set. Overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and a hot-swap controller ensure reliable continuous industrial operation.
